Treatment Of Penis Cancer

Determine the method of choice of treatment depends entirely on the stage of cancer, including tumor location, and how much it has spread.

Conventional methods of treatment of penile cancer include surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Surgery is most appropriate if the tumor is small and can be surgically removed. This is usually implemented in the early stages of cancer of the penis. Surgery performed for this purpose is known as partial penectomy.

Advanced case of cancer of the penis, which is a major cancer surgery, extended runs, which removes the entire penis, leaving behind an electrical outlet in the groin urination. This process is urethrostomy.

Other methods for the treatment of chemotherapy and radiation therapy often used in combination with surgery or the other or both depending on the stage and demands.
